Did you know that the VA studio wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for a major shift I took in my life back in January? January marked the beginning of so many beginnings for me – as I wasted time on Facebook following people’s journeys wondering how they “were able to cross the street” cross the street to success that is.
I am huge on asking the universe for what I need, what I want and allowing the signs to come to me – I decided to step up, take hold and turn this business well – into a business.
I have been reflecting A LOT lately over the last few weeks on exactly what and why I felt my business has had exploded growth.
- CEO Mindset has taken me from a “girl who works from home” into running an evolving enterprise.
- Invested in the 90 day year with Todd Herman who kicked my ass into getting things done by learning about Content Switching and Block and Tackle Methodology.
- Pushed my introverted ways out the window and allowed myself to become apart of an online business community – which has resulted in 11 new clients (say what) – thanks Todd for the group.
- Increased my rates 3 times – due to high demand of entrepreneurs wanting to work with me & my business.
- Hired a VA and started outsourcing tasks to her so I can focus on higher ticketed items.
- Decided on a online program – and thanks to Todd Herman – that went from ideation to completion in 2 months.
- Partnered with Sandra Booker and brought the VA studio to life
- Started a private Facebook Group for women aspiring to become Virtual Assistants
- Started the podcast the VAhustle
- Revamped my service offerings 2 times – well 3 now as I am in the process of revamping again.
- Hired a website designer to create my new website to showcase once again my new increased rates + packages. {coming live soon}
- Alter Ego – takes hold – Dallas makes a strong appearance and decides to stick around.
- Connections, relationships and partnerships forge into my life like a out of control wildfire. Now apart of the Soaring 6 mastermind (my online family) and I couldn’t “do business” without them as they are my support team.
- Worked around the clock – not because I had to but because I wanted to hit major milestones and catapult into where I am now.
- Knew to take a week off and disconnect so I could reconnect. Listening to my wants and took off to Costa Rica for a week and a half.
- Bringing online connections to real life connections by attending the 90DY live event in Vegas. It is amazing to step up and be surrounded by like minded business peeps in person – where they can actually hold you up!
- Set up systems, processes and routines so that my business is running on autopilot. No need to recreate it every time you need to do something have it documented out.
- Gave myself permission to spend money ON my business – I am an investment the business is an investment and we are not an expense. It is a privilege to have a business that requires money being spent on it. I invested in leadpages, 17hats, edgar, sweet process, Wistia, MemberMouse, Haute Chocolate styled stock library.
- Confidence building – to allow myself to believe I am worth this, I am capable of this, I am this.
- Got my husband on board 100% with what I am doing – allowing him to see that this is not a hobby, but my career. Letting him see that I am not “just” some “stay at home mom” – and that my work is equally as important as his – he is now my biggest supporter.
- Replaced TV with podcasts and books.
- I became comfortable being uncomfortable – don’t take your resistance and uncomfort as a sign you are going in the wrong direction – trust me – do it anyways.
- Hired a cleaner so I am not running myself into the ground.
- Stepped into how I want to feel and started running my business with my CDF in mind.
- TOOK ACTION – I didn’t overthink, draw out, get started but not finish. I took action for what I wanted and went out and got it.
Entrepreneurship is an interesting battle of up’s and down’s. An emotional rollercoaster ride you take your life on daily. My dreams are actually goals now, and I see the path to get there. What once was a laugh of a thought is now becoming a reality. All you need to do is START.
Start showing up to yourself, your work, your dreams, your wants, desires, your faults, your weaknesses just show up and start taking action. Dont just think about it – do it.
